Mabisa is a Tagalog word that means effectively doing what was intended. The root word bisa is translated as reaction. Effective reactions are what Mabisa Martial Arts is all about. This is the best way to describe the warrior arts passed on to me by my teachers.
Mabisa Martial Arts are strongly influenced by the Filipino Martial Arts (Eskrima), and Malay (Silat).
Adding boxing-like energy to training adds an extra element of reality to Mabisa. Drills are progressive, so the trainee can work up to develop both speed and technique in single direct attacks, combinations, and multiple opponents.
John is an instructor under Sifu Blaise Loong (Yashai Warcraft-Patayin Estilo)and also Guro under Master Yuli Romo (Bahad Zu'Bu Eskrima)
